1. Paintball Shell Formation

The outer shell of a paintball is crafted from food-grade gelatin, similar to what’s used in gummy candies. This gelatin is melted and mixed with dyes to achieve the desired colour. The mixture is then cooled into a semi-solid state, forming the shell that will encapsulate the fill.​

2. Encapsulation

Using specialized encapsulation machines, the gelatin shell is filled with a non-toxic, water-soluble dye solution. This fill is designed to be bright and easily washable, ensuring visibility upon impact and easy clean up. The encapsulation process ensures that each paintball is uniform in size and weight.​

3. Drying and Curing

After encapsulation, the paintballs are transferred to drying drums where they are gently tumbled to prevent sticking and to promote even drying.
